I have been looking at moving into a flat in London which has a balcony that ends under cover so you could just put two doors on it to create a small cellar with walls all round except the doors. Would it be too cold because the two doors would be wood and not insulated?

Editor’s Comment
Summer heat might be the problem if the balcony faces south. You could line the doors with foam etc, and paint them white if they face the sun. Make sure there is some ventilation – bore a few holes in the doors if necessary. That way, the temperature should be much the same as indoors. You wouldn’t want to keep the wine in there too long – it will age quite rapidly.

Dear Editor,
I was wondering if you could please help me. I am looking for a monthly wine subscription as a gift. It would hopefully be part of a wine society where I can buy a 12 month subscription and have one wine bottle to be delivered to a house once a month for the year? Do you know where I could get this?

Hi T..............
I don't know of any wine clubs that send out single bottles on a monthly basis, but retailers such as Oddbins do. They would also give you advice on which wines to buy. Warning though - postage on bottles of wine can be quite expensive.

Dear Editor
I’m wondering can you help me. I’m trying to buy Sextons Harry’s Monster wine and I can’t seem to find it anywhere?

Hi A.................
Have you have tried Googling the wine name? Otherwise, try Everywine's Winefinder service: www.everywine.co.uk or phone 0800 072 0011
