Biography
I have been going to wine tastings since my university days, and running them since 1980. In the mid 1980s I started to take a serious interest in wine, making visits to vineyards and taking top place in the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma Exams for 1988-89.

I have attended many clubs in the London area, and the deluge of information from them persuaded me to start this magazine!

Presentations
My own club is called Ian’s Wine Dinners We have monthly dinners with good and fine wines on Saturday evenings. I regularly present at Central London Wine Club HASSRA and ONS My first presentation to Hertfordshire Fine Wine Society is on 19 February.

For the last year or so, I have concentrated on South American wines, but I have given a wide range of other tastings.
